Senior Housing
Owning three housing complexes and managing a fourth, Siouxland Aging Services, Inc. provides the best of two worlds with its Housing Program - independent senior living at an affordable cost. Three complexes are strategically located in Sioux City (Woodbury County) neighborhoods familiar to Siouxland seniors. The fourth complex, Diamond Heights, is located in Onawa (Monona County). Siouxland Aging Services, Inc.'s future plans include working to secure funding for new housing complexes in other communities demonstrating the most urgent need for affordable senior housing. Each apartment has a kitchen with a refrigerator and stove furnished, combination living/dining room, a bathroom and one bedroom. Community rooms, laundry room, computer stations, mailbox facilities, and off-street parking are just a few of the amenities found at each complex. Units that provide special amenities for persons who are wheelchair-bound or have other physical limitations are also available. To be eligible for housing, the head of the household must be 62 years of age or older. Income restrictions apply and rental payments are calculated at approximately 30% of monthly income. |
